This project was a massive undertaking. The brief: Update the interior design for Nottingham University's two canteens in Ningbo, China in 5 months. These canteens feed over 5,000 students and staff per day. We had 2 months to finish the design and blueprints and 3 months during the summer for construction.

We started off by rebranding the canteens, giving them fresh clean identities. We created custom wall graphics, lights, signage and artwork to make the space feel special and inviting for everyone on campus. The key to a beautiful interior is a limited palette and a clear style direction. I was lucky to get the opportunity to be the creative director and project manager for this interior refresh.

The 2 canteens were finished on-time for students and faculty arriving in early September. We managed the construction through the hot Chinese summer in Ningbo. A big thanks to all of the suppliers, construction workers, illustrators, 3D designers, artists, printers, engineers and designers who helped to bring this project to life. Hundreds of people pulled together to make this project a great success. Special thanks to the management at Nottingham University for trusting me with this project.
